Overview
A fixed-difficulty quiz gives you one data point per learner: pass or fail. It tells you nothing about where the ceiling is for high performers or where the floor is for struggling ones. Every learner gets the same questions regardless of what their first three answers already revealed.
The Adaptive Quiz Builder designs a branching question structure where each response routes the learner to a more or less challenging question — narrowing in on the precise boundary of their knowledge. The result is a quiz that is simultaneously easier for struggling learners (they are not demoralized by questions far above their level) and more informative for advanced ones (they are not capped by questions they can answer without thinking).
What you get: - Question bank organized by difficulty tier and knowledge dimension - Branching logic map: which response routes to which next question - Entry point strategy: how to start the quiz to calibrate quickly - Termination rules: when the quiz has gathered enough information to make a reliable estimate - Learner profile output: what the quiz result tells you about each learner's knowledge state - Manual implementation guide: how to run this adaptively without specialized software
Built for: teachers, tutors, L&D designers, and instructional technologists who need richer learner data than a fixed quiz provides — even without adaptive testing software.
