Overview
Scope of work documents fail in two directions: too vague (creating scope creep disputes when the buyer expects more than was agreed) or too restrictive (creating friction every time a natural work evolution requires an amendment). The correct scope of work is specific enough to define what success looks like and what the price covers, but includes enough flexibility to accommodate reasonable changes through a clear change order process rather than contract disputes.
The SOW Framework defines deliverables with measurable acceptance criteria, clarifies what is explicitly out of scope, and builds the change management process that handles scope evolution professionally.
